North Quincy QARI Summer Table Tennis Program 2024

North Quincy QARI Summer Table Tennis Program 2024

At North Quincy High School this summer, the table tennis program, sponsored by QARI and partnered with AYTTO, offered a fun and engaging way to improve students' ping pong capabilities and stay active. From July 9th to August 15th, students of all skill levels were able to participate in the program, receiving expert coaching and opportunities to compete with their peers in friendly matches.  With close to 30 participants, the program fostered a sense of community among students who shared a passion for table tennis. The program ended with a final tournament and awards ceremony to recognize the participants' hard work and dedication.

Throughout the weeks, participants saw improvement in their technique and strategy. The program was led by a team of coaches and assistant coaches, who worked closely with the students to refine their skills. The students learned techniques such as basic skills, spin serves, and footwork from the coaching staff. By the end of the course, students were able to demonstrate these newly acquired abilities through participation in a mini-tournament. This competition would be a good way to put students' abilities into practice, allowing students to apply what they had learned and gain valuable experience through fun competition. By the end of the program, participants improved their table tennis abilities but also built lasting bonds with fellow peers to share memories.
