AYTTO Saturday Youth Training @ SPIN Boston

AYTTO is pleased to offer a 30-week table tennis training program for Boston-area youth, taking place on Saturdays from 12:00 Noon - 2:00 PM at SPIN Boston. Program begins October 12th, 2024 and lasts through out the school year.

Led by a group of elite coaches (head coached by Emily Tan, current US National Team member), the program will teach the students the fundamentals of table tennis and also introduce them to some advanced techniques in a fun way.

There are TWO ways to join the program, all participants have to register ahead:

  1. FREE: AYTTO supports free training for up to 12 members for the entire 30-week period. Applicants for the free program must show a household income of less than $100,000/year and commit to the entire 30-week program, with no more than three unexcused absences.

  2. PAID ($20/class): For those who would like to participate on a paid fee basis, the cost is $20/class. Two methods to register and pay
    1. Register for each class via the (paid) link below for the dates you would like to participate. We usually only publish class availability (dates) up to 2 months ahead.
    2. OR, contact jasper.wong@aytto.org and pay via Zelle for dates you would like to participate. Jasper will provide you with the recipient Zelle account.

Training Attire/Clothes

Require Tee Shirts, Shorts/Track Pants and Playing Shoes.
No sweatshirts or long sleeve shirts or jackets permitted. Students must wear shorts or track pants and athletic shoes for training.

Equipment

Students may bring their own table tennis racquets or use racquets provided by SPIN Boston

Food and Beverage

No outside food and drinks allowed at SPIN facility. Water bottle is allowed and can request to have water re-filled at the bar.


American Youth Table Tennis Organization (AYTTO) is a 501c3 not for profit organization dedicated to introducing the wonderful and challenging sport of table tennis to New York City School Students and beyond.

Established in 2003, we forge partnerships with schools, community based organizations, table tennis clubs, coaches and our partners to create exciting after school instruction, weekend table tennis academies and events for the benefit of urban youth.

MISSION

During after school and weekend hours, we provide urban school students an opportunity to learn the exciting, dynamic and strategic sport of table tennis. AYTTO's programs incorporate more than table tennis. Through the sport that everyone loves to play, we teach leadership, fitness, teamwork, and fair play.
